Perfect timing on this topic for me - I was just reviewing a slide deck from RSLI/Matrix today. My primary question is that if a company has and continues with a private STD and FMLA plan administration package (like most do) and that offering is as "good or better" than the state plan, does the employer [still] have to initiate the payroll deduction premium for state requirement? Needless say that I will need to confirm this prior to approaching my payroll team. I'm confident I will receive confirmation on this question but just wanted to kick off the NEEBC blog with my two cents. Thank you. John Kennedy
