The COVID-19 pandemic has caused enormous personal and financial hardship.  There is an unprecedented level of uncertainty around the possible ways COVID-19 will manifest, and the impact to group health plans is extremely difficult to project.

While early trends indicate suppression of many elective services (such as outpatient surgery and emergency room) and a dramatic increase in the use of telemedicine, the range of possibilities for claim impacts through the end of 2020 and into 2021 are vast.  This is further complicated by the overall instability of the health care sector, with hospitals and provider practices balancing the dynamics related to suppressed care, furlough activity / office closures, and what is needed to facilitate care delivery in a post-COVID environment.

This facilitated conversation with health plan experts will explore these many issues and allow time for your questions.
