The SECURE Act “1.0” was enacted at the end of 2019 and marked the first material changes to retirement policy in more than a decade. There were several provisions impacting retirement plan administration. Where does your plan stand with respect to the SECURE Act provisions? Are you compliant?

Furthermore, the Department of Labor has published formal guidance on plan sponsors’ responsibilities regarding cybersecurity best practices, missing participants and electronic delivery of required notices. We will break down this guidance and discuss how sponsors can work to comply with this guidance.

Lastly, to keep sponsors informed and looking ahead, we will review SECURE Act “2.0” provisions currently under review, with strong bipartisan support, and how they may impact plan administrators in 2022 and beyond.
