Program Description
Massachusetts is now fully engaged in implementation of the Health Care Reform Act. With critical deadlines already past or looming on the horizon, employers must take action now to ensure they are ready to meet their obligations for 2008 and beyond. Join the experts for a half-day program to learn first-hand how to ensure your company's compliance with these oftimes complex regulations ‹ PLUS, hear from peers how their companies have successfully implemented various aspects of the Act.

Workshop Faculty
Bob Carey is the Director of Planning and Development for the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority. In this role, Bob works closely with the Executive Director of the Health Connector to implement new health insurance programs, including designing health benefit plans and developing health care financing arrangements.

Lori A. Fortin is Vice President and Manager, Global Benefits for Wellington Management. She is responsible for the design and management of US and international employee benefit policies, programs, and practices. Before joining Wellington, Lori served as Director of Corporate Human Resources for the Caritas Christi Health Care System and was a Consulting Actuary with Towers Perrin.

Elizabeth Holman is a Senior Consultant in the Group and Healthcare Practice at Watson Wyatt, consulting to clients on a variety of health plan strategy, design and management issues, including health reform. She is a member of the board of directors of the New England Employee Benefits Council.

Gail Warner, Benefits Manager, Staples, Inc. is responsible for the design, implementation and communication of healthcare and wellness programs for 52,000 U.S. associates, and is a member of the Healthcare Connector's Client Advisory Council.

Getting to the Workshop
The John Hancock Conference Center is located at the corner of Stuart Street and Trinity Place, just behind the Hancock Tower. Parking is available at the Hancock Garage on Clarendon Street, the Back Bay Auto Park on Stuart Street, or other area locations. The Conference Center is also convenient to the Back Bay commuter rail and Orange Line stations, as well as the Copley stop on the Green Line.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made (by fax or telephone) at least 72 hours prior to the event to be fully refundable. You may designate a replacement if unable to attend a program. Please note that program "no shows" are not refundable.
