In this highly confidential position the Benefits Administrator
will work closely with and receive supervision from the Senior Benefits
Specialist.
This is a "hands-on" position serving approximately 600 employees with
primary responsibilities including benefits administration (medical,
dental, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, long-term care,
tuition reimbursement, FSA, COBRA, HIRD, 401(k), Worker?s Compensation and
HRIS administration (Ultipro).
Benefits administration includes but is not limited to; reconciling
monthly statements, processing enrollments/terminations/status changes,
leave of absence administration, investigating employee claims and act as
point of resource for employees concerning benefits. The Benefits
Administrator will conduct new hire orientation and assist with the annual
benefits renewal process including meetings with vendors and brokers and
participate in open enrollment activities. The Benefits Administrator
will also assist with the compensation planning process.
HRIS administration encompasses all aspects including creating and
maintaining benefits functions, data integrity, data entry, queries, and
reports.
The Benefits Administrator will also be responsible for creating and
maintaining documentation for Benefits Administrator processes and
procedures. This person will also be responsible for keeping benefit
materials stocked and preparing new hire orientation packages and serve as
the first point of contact for employee benefit questions.
Candidates should have a college degree or equivalent and a minimum of one
year of direct benefits experience. The ideal candidate will have strong
detail orientation, be highly organized and have excellent follow-up
skills. They will have a demonstrated ability to multi-task with minimal
direct supervision and strong initiative. Strong written and verbal
communication skills are required. Candidates must have and prove
proficiency in the following applications: Ultipro and/or ADP HR
Perspective Version 5, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook. Experience in
a manufacturing environment a plus.

Support and service to clients includes new business implementation, renewal marketing, day to day administrative client support, account liaison and financial analysis. The Senior Account Executive needs to be familiar with various medical plan funding methods, ranging from fully insured to self funded and a variety of plan design techniques, including HSA compatible High Deductible Health Plans, HRA Plans and FSA's. Knowledge of employee benefits underwriting and experience in working with Life, Disability, Dental, etc. are important.
This position involves day to day interaction with client decision makers and operational staff. The ability to work in a project based environment is important. Excellent presentation skills (oral and written) and a thorough understanding of the use of Microsoft Office applications are a must, as is the ability to interact with external partners and our internal team. In depth knowledge of federal law (COBRA, PPACA, etc.) as well as state requirements is critical, as is the ability to read and understand policies, certificates and contracts.
The ideal candidate is self motivated and a creative problem solver. Bachelor's degree is required and further industry study is important. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The Senior Benefits Analyst tracks, develops and analyzes comprehensive benefits data reports and benchmarking reports. Identifies and interprets data and market trends, and proactively develops cost-effective and competitive recommendations. Manages related compliance and other activities associated with benefit program administration and plan management needs, including annual retirement plan audits and valuations. Leads development of benefits communications and training initiatives, including updates to benefits self service and internal websites.
