Hooker & Holcombe is honored to be named a finalist on the Hartford Business Journal’s 2020 listing of “Best Places to Work in Connecticut.”

New England’s Marsh & McLennan Agency retirement services team had another strong year in 2019, receiving multiple national awards and accolades.  For the third year in a row, Marsh & McLennan Agency was named to Retirement Plan Adviser’s Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors as a mega team, defined as 36 or more team members. 

Sentinel Pension Advisors was named to NAPA's Top DC Advisor Multi-Office Firms List.

Debra Wein, CEO of Wellness Workdays, announced that 47 organizations received the 2020 Best Wellness Employer certification. The Best Wellness Employer program, developed by Wellness Workdays in collaboration with experts from Harvard Medical School, recognizes the outstanding achievements of businesses and organizations committed to creating best-in-class corporate wellness programs that promote a ​culture of well-being to engage employees.  Five NEEBC member organizations received the award, including Brown University, John Hancock Life Insurance Company, New Balance, Norway Savings Bank and Putnam Investments.

Dacadoo, a science-based HealthTech and InsurTech global start-up company that helps health insurers and corporations with health risk quantification and digital health engagement, has raised over $70m. They were recently recognized as one of 100 innovation leaders in HealthTech in the Global Digital Health Award List 2020 by the Journal of mHealth.

Hinge Health closes $90 million Series C to help millions address their chronic back and joint pain and announces latest expansion, working with CVS Health to bring digital musculoskeletal care to its pharmacy benefit management clients.

Segal announced the launch of its new branding:

  • The members of The Segal Group that are being consolidated under Segal were formerly referred to as Segal Consulting, Segal Select Insurance, Segal Waters and Sibson Consulting, each a member of The Segal Group. Moving forward the company will simply be known as Segal.

  • Segal Marco Advisors and Segal Benz are also part of the Segal family and are slated to maintain their current names.

Segal expanded its Technology Business by acquiring LRWL Inc., a Virginia-based consulting leader in assisting clients with the assessment, selection and implementation of public sector pension administration systems.

ABG of Michigan, a full-service retirement plan consulting and administration firm, joined Sentinel Benefits, effective January 1, 2020.

Torchlight has been added to CVS Health's Point Solutions Management service. Torchlight is the first caregiver-support benefit available for the company's Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) clients.  


MEMBER COMPANIES GIVE BACK

The Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group's Sentinel Cares program was recently featured by milligiving.com on their Changemakers from Within Podcast. The episode features Sentinel's efforts to establish an authentic corporate citizenship program over the past five years. Sentinel employees have fully supported the program and the non-profit organizations who benefit from their volunteerism and philanthropy. More than 90% take part in Sentinel's volunteer service programs each year!

SentinelCares was also featured in PlanAdviser's "Advisers Giving Back" Series.
